I’m a full stack web developer that is very experienced in the front end, and competent enough in the backend, but always learning. I primarily try to build a lot of apps in the MERN stack, creating API’s and functionality with Node and Express, and rendering them with React, but lately I’ve been diving deeper into options with Electron, Puppeteer, and PHP. In PHP I’ve been simplifying processes for my previous company, developing plugins, extensions, and widgets to communicate with APIs, export data, display new data, or provide extra functions to existing plugins, but with my Javascript experience, I’ve been doing a lot more.

I’ve been studying Javascript and React for almost 3 years now, and have been coding with it since they primarily used classes and constructor functions to now with Hooks, Context API, and functional components. Lately I’ve been developing some more interesting projects, like my app built with Electron, that uses a React Front End, Puppeteer to handle some web scraping, an Express JS Rest API that allows users to store information on the database, as well as managers to add indexes to the serve, and the Node JS file system to store data and videos on the users device.

My platform of choice is Linux Ubuntu, I have a history in DevOPs, and use a lot of commands learned in that position regularly. In my free time, I like to work on a lot of projects, so the consistent and more manual environment is excellent to me. My projects have included a lot of interesting elements. I found out about the External Control API with Roku, and wrote some shell commands, and set up a cron job to run every 30th minute of the hour that checks if any of the Roku smart TV’s are on, and if they are, to send a pause and play command to them, so that the tv/application has made a minimum amount of interaction to avoid the “Are you still there” timeout. In another project, I’ve set up a raspberry pi to a custom board I orderd to function as a gameboy advanced that can load other roms to. I’ve also been working on a Dungeons and Dragons app with the MERN Stack, a better timer app with React Native, and a NextJS portfolio website.
